Mormons are not Christians. They worship different gods.

It is a mystery to me why (other than seeking to deceive) the LDS would want to identify themselves with a movement they consider apostate.

Logically, the LDS would either need to claim that they are the *only* Christians, or they are not Christians at all. But “we’re Christians like the rest of you” is absurd.
